In a right angled triangle,
By Pythagoras Theorem
Hypotenuse^2 = Base^2 + Height^2
For example-
In this triangle,
Hypotenuse = Side opposite to angle 90 = C
Base = B
Height = A
So, by Pythagoras Theorem,
A^2 + B^2 = C^2
